Why Should Christians Not Practice Halloween ???

America and Europe were/are very nice to accept (practice) the cultures of the other world. But I wonder why these advanced nations would not research and understand before they practice ...... We know how cunning is devil to trick the children of God. Especially believers in Christ have given themselves and their children to the hands of devil.
The one thing that I don't like about Halloween is the costumes that are demonic disguised. The dresses, the colors, the faces look so dreadful and fearful. It is a look of devil. We take them as a fun and we let our children practice it as a fun. This is how devil is extending his kingdom. We are allowing devil enter the lives of our children since their tender age. Our enemy is entering into our homes through various means. We as Christians, Instead in the season of Halloween, need to teach our children how good our God is; how faithful He is. We need to show them how beautiful and wonderful is the face of our God Jesus Christ. We ought to teach what Psalmist in Psalm 27:4 determines "One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple (NIV).
Let's remember the word of the Lord that He had instructed the people of Israel to not imitate the practices of the nations when they enter the land of Canaan.
"When you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations (Deuteronomy 18:9 NASB).
'You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their statutes (Leviticus 18:3 NASB).
Let's be sensitive, measure things with the Word of God, research and understand before you accept/practice the cultures of the land that you are in.

Do Something Before you leave the Earth !

Setting goals to do something good for Others, Community, Church and for God is not bad. Everyone should. But if we are not working for it today, our goals will be left undone at the end. Bigger things won't be accomplished unless small beginnings happen. It requires a great deal of guts to take the first step towards it. The priests of Joshua had to put their first step of faith into the Jordan river that was not divided yet. Had Joshua not taken the first step of faith, He would not have seen the miraculous cut off of the water (Joshua 3:7,13). Hesitation, low self-esteem, fear, shyness, uncertainties are the greatest enemies that we need to learn to overcome. Moses made an excuse that he was not able to be a leader of the people of Israel (Exodus 4:10). Gideon admitted that he was the least in his father's house and his clan was the weakest (Judges 6:15). Unless we risk ourselves of loss, failure and shame, we won't be a person that will have done something in life. Peter would not have walked on the water if he had not risked his life (Matthew 14:22-33). Of course, Peter made people laugh at him and was ridiculed of his craziness. But remember! he later became the head of the Church at Jerusalem after Jesus left the earth. Our good God has a plan of hope and future for each of us (Jeremiah 29:10). Let's not be entangled by the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1-2). Let us not learn what the world has to teach us. Let the world not influence us as we are dead to sin. We as a Church are here to influence the world (Romans 12:1). Let us look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and had sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).

What is Christmas All About ???

Christmas is not about Christmas Tree, or Santa Claus, or Carols or Festival. It's about knowing who Jesus is; the Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). He is the Emmanuel meaning "God with us" (Isaiah 7:14). He is the SAVIOR of the world who came to save people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). He is the eternal CREATOR without whom nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-3). He is the LAMB of God who took away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Christmas is the manifestation of the eternal God as the Savior of the world that was born as a mere human being (Matthew 1:21). It's about the All-Powerful God that humbled Himself and came to the earth He created (Philippians 2:6-11). Christmas is the LIGHT that has come in the darkness of the world (Isaiah 9:2). It's about JESUS who came to serve and give his life as ransom for many (Mark 10:45), who came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10) and present the life of abundance to all mankind (John 10:10). It's about knowing that Jesus has accomplished the work of reconciliation and redemption on the cross ONCE and for ALL (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life (John 3:16). Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Christmas is CHRIST being born in your heart. It happens so when you accept by your mouth that Jesus is the LORD and believe in your heart that He ROSE from the dead (Romans 10:9).
